Some
files on our site are provided in Adobe's Acrobat format (indicated
by the suffix "PDF" in the file name).
To read these files, you need to have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader
software installed on your PC or Mac.
Get
Acrobat Reader
Disability Access
If
you have the Reader installed, simply click on the name of the
pdf file to launch it. The document will open within the browser
window. You can view and/or print the document, then, when done,
click the browser BACK button to close the document and return
to the previous screen.
If the file will not open, you may need to upgrade to the latest
version of the software, Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 5. If you

If
you do not have the Reader installed, or want to upgrade to the
latest version, you will need to

the Reader software from the Adobe website, then

the software onto your PC.

The file you download includes both the Reader program and the
"wizard" program to install it.

To run the installer program, double-click on the file you just
downloaded. It will guide you through the process of installing
the Reader program on your PC.
You only need to install the Reader once, not each time you need
to view a PDF file.

Adobe has a section of its website devoted to helping people with
visual disabilities access PDF files, called access.adobe.com.
It includes a number of tools and methods, including PDF
Conversion by Simple Form.
